A history of the railways of the West Riding of Yorkshire, which boasted the most complex railway network in Britain

About the author

Bernard Warr had a life-long passion for all forms of transport. After leaving school he worked for Midland Red at both its central works and Digbeth's long -distance coach services. When his career diverged away from such a hands-on role in transport, he became involved in the North Yorkshire Moors Railway as a volunteer, rising to General Manager, Director and Trustee. He has written many books on transport history.
