A listener's guide to classical music to take you through the day, from getting up and getting dressed, to running, reading, walking the dog, cooking and eating, taking a bath, going to sleep and everything in between.

About the author

Scala Radio was launched in March 2019, the first national classical music service to air on terrestrial radio in the UK since Classic FM in 1992. The station’s playlist features 70% popular classical and 30% new and ‘surprising’ music. Scala also aims for more speech content – or ‘storytelling’ – than Classic FM or BBC Radio 3. Simon Mayo is one of the lead presenters and he hosted the first live programme. Other presenters include a range of radio and television personalities, such as Mark Kermode and Angelica Bell.
