Imagine being a little girl and losing your father. How do you cope? How do you take care of your husband and eight children without all the modern conveniences of today? How do you go through tragedy again and continue to be joyful, and fulfilled?
Mom found the strength, confidence, and joy through her Bible. She sought God's wisdom and direction in the scriptures she read. She also used her sense of humor to get past any negative situations.

Carolyn J. Smith has always loved telling stories about events in her life. She especially loves to tell stories about her Mom, children and grandchildren, and recount stories about them.
Carolyn lives in a small town in Michigan and stays busy gardening, working at her part-time job, and singing with her Christian friends at various nursing homes.
Carolyn feels that one of the ways she can serve God is by telling stories of His provision, grace, and love in all areas of life. She has written three other books, The Winter Season of My Garden, Let The Barren Sing and The Gift of a Christmas Cookie.
