A colourful and gentle introduction to the concept of animal babies for young children. Lots of animals have homes, but not all homes are the same! An orangutan builds a new nest every day, a prairie dog lives in its burrow for years - and a reindeer is always on the move! From the award-winning author Martin Jenkins and illustrated by Jane McGuinness, this beautiful picture book is a perfect introduction to different kinds of animal homes.

About the author

A conservation biologist who has worked for WWF, the UN, and as an award-winning author of wildlife books for children.Jane was born in Glasgow; a big city, but a green one. She always liked the idea of being an author, but didn't realize for a long time that you were allowed to both write the words and draw the pictures if you wanted to! A BA in Illustration at the University for the Creative Arts in Maidstone helped Jane learn how richly drawings could tell stories – it was there where she rediscovered picture books, and there that she realized that she loves words as much as she loves pictures.
