About the author

The story of Bob's career in the RAAF is
studded with action, iconic events and loyalty to
his country that you couldn't cut with a chainsaw.
Not surprising really because WO Bob Jennings
OAM is a man-of-action. He introduced a whole
a new philosophy in training dogs for more than
just guarding the flight line or a store-shed. He
was pivotal in the RAAF team that scored the
biggest history-making event in the management
and return to Australia of deployed Australian
Military Working Dogs when the RAAF together
with the Australian Quarantine Service introduced
the protocols for enabling Australian War Dogs
to return home to Australia after their service on
foreign soil. This outcome cannot be overstated
as it was the single most controversial subject that
faced the ADF in respect of military working dogs.
