Randal Betz Jr. grew up playing on the beaches in New Jersey, developing a deep love of animals and nature. He wears many different hats these days, one of which is passionate advocate for turtle and tortoise conservation. Betz created the Helix series to inspire others that no matter the challenges one faces, there is always a way to overcome with compassion, empathy, and kindness. He resides in Delaware with his wife Meghann and their four children. He loves his work and also enjoys creative writing and the performing arts. He resides in Pennsylvania with his wife Kristen, their two children Callie and Jackson, two dogs, and one very energetic marginated tortoise named Applejack.Claudio Icuza was born July 17, 1992 in Mendoza, Argentina. He passion is in illustration and animation, which he has been doing since 2016, working freelance and illustrating children's books. Claudio is well known for illustrating The Helix book series; "Helix Gets His Wheels," "Helix Rolls Into A Sleepover," "Helix Breaks His Wheels," "Helix Brings Allergy Friendly Cupcakes To School," "Helix Goes To The Hospital," "Helix Makes New Friends," and "Helix Tells The Truth." Claudio also illustrated "School Is Different This Year And That's OK!" and "Lil 'Vegan Chef: A fun vegan cookbook for children," among many others. Claudio currently resides in Mendoza, Argentina with his wife, Azul, and two beautiful children, Genaro and Martina.
