"Nano" is a Greek word which refers to the English word "Dwarf". Nanotechnology has applications in multidisciplinary fields of Applied Sciences and Technology which involves the characterization and fabrication of materials that have at least one dimensions less than 100 nm in size. Even though, nanomaterials are used for various applications; nanofibers produced by different methods are widely used in biomedical applications due to their resemblance to the extracellular tissue matrix structure. Electrospinning is a highly versatile technique to produce continuous fibers having diameters in micro or nanometer range than the other methods of fabricating nanofibers such as mechanical drawing, self assembly, template synthesis and phase separation. The term "Electrospinning" was derived from "electrostatic spinning"
