Cricket is the most popular sport in India. It is played in all age group including both male and female. It is played in rural and urban Indian schools and colleges. It involves different physical demand in different components of cricket. Prevalence of mechanical low back pain is very common in cricket players in india.In a recent injury report conducted among cricketers, it was shown that the incidence of LBP was 8%, and as high as 14% among fast bowlers. Factors that cause mechanical LBP includes loss of strength, flexibility and endurance of trunk musclesand excessive pressure on lumber spine. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of arabesque exercise with Pilates versus core stability exercise to find out which exercise protocol is better to decrease pain and improvement in strength flexibility in mechanical low back pain in college level cricketers.
