House sparrow (Passer domesticus) a small bird locally known in India "chouri" is closely associated with human habitation. Most of the studies were concentrated on population and feeding and artificial nestboxes occupancy none of the studies were attempted on the natural nesting behavior of House sparrows in Nilgiris. Considering the lacunae this present study was attempted in the Government Arts College in and around the Campas from December 2018 to March 2019 in Udhagamandalam, The Nilgiris.
