Local integration of Nigerian Refugees - A Durable Solution to Self-reliant in the Far North Region of Cameroon: Measures, Challenges and Perspectives

Humanitarian assistance has fallen within the square perimeters of Sustainable Goals. Due violent extremism by Boko HARAM in Nori Nigeria, the Far North Region of Cameroon acted as a safe haven. As a result, UNHCR identified and provided Legal papers to over thousand. Also, crusades of coexistence were carried by CRS. UNESCO via her partners facilitated admission of refugees into schools. Through case based transfers, many became less dependent on aid. All these greatly helped in the autonomization of the refugees.

Nkatow Mafany Christian hails from Cameroon. He is currently a Ph.D student in History in the University of Yaounde 1. He holds a post graduate diploma (Diplome Des Professeurs Des Enseignment Generale du 2eme Grade) from University of Bamenda.
