Facial Reanimation is an esthetic surgical procedure used to treat facial paralysis basically caused by bells palsy, traumatic facial nerve injury,brain tumor,congenital malformation,vascular lesions,infections and any other cases of unknown etiology. It is performed in severe cases where facial nerve is seriously deteriorating In this surgical procedure paralysed facial muscles are connected to healthy nerve tissue in the sorrounding area to restore the movements.It can be done by a direct anastomosis or repair with a nerve graft.
