The present work gathers small writings focused mainly, but not only, on the complex and symbolic world of myths. These writings, done with the necessary professional thoroughness, are short stories told and tied to historical realities. The vicissitudes of mythology or the factual vicissitudes of ancient history, as well as some stories and tales, are interwoven and form a plot with heroes or superheroes, mythical personalities or ancient divinities. Religiosities, death, history and historians, stories that teach and moralize, the world of ideologies, in addition to ancient literature, archaeology and the geography of ancient history are brought together in harmony in ninety-four tablets in the form of reflection, commentary or criticism, closely associated with the author's academic training. Reflections poured into academic contexts or into somewhat less formal encounters.

Julio López Saco, ricercatore ispano-venezuelano, è professore ordinario di storia dell'Asia presso l'Universidad Central de Venezuela e l'Universidad Católica Andrés Bello. Professore assistente visitatore presso l'Universidade do Minho (Braga). Storico specializzato nello studio del mito e della religiosità nel mondo antico.
