Why do some CEOs pursue an international expansion strategy and others do not? This question was examined using European beer producers as a sample and looking at their CEOs cultural intelligence as a possible explanation for their propensity to initiate an exporting strategy. Original data was collected using voluntary responses from beer breweries across Europe. 72 qualified responses were included in the statistical analysis. The data supports the finding that a higher cultural intelligence increases the odds of initiating an exporting strategy.
