About the author










Bernd Reiter is Professor of Political Science, School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies, University of South Florida. He was the Erasmus Mundus Visiting Scholar at the Barcelona Institute for International Studies and a visiting professor at the University of Kassel (Germany) and the Universidad del Norte (Colombia). He is a member of the Inequalities Network (Free University of Berlin) and has conducted research on democracy, participation, and racism in Brazil, Portugal, France, and Ghana. He has published six books and over 20 articles on this topic.
