About the author

Michael Lichter has been photographing custom motorcycles since the early 1980s, for the pages of Easyriders magazine. He has also written and photographed a number of books.  Paul d'OrlŠans, better known as the publisher of website The Vintagent, travels the world following the vintage motorcycle scene. As a rider, collector, and recognized expert on moto-history, he is a passionate advocate for old motorcycles and writes for numerous magazines (including Cycle World, MCN, Men's File, Klassik Motorrad, and CafŠ Racers FR), websites, and club journals worldwide.Dave Nichols has been involved in many forms of media both in front and behind the camera since 1978. He has written and produced over 1,200 TV commercials with Shadoe Stevens, Inc., a series of television comedy specials for HBO/Cinemax, and American Top 40 for ABC Watermark. He has created live events for Jani International, developed early-learning software for Microsoft, and written ad campaigns for radio, TV, and feature film trailers for New World Pictures. Dave was the editor-in-chief of Easyriders and V-Twin motorcycle magazines from 1998-2019. He is also the author of Motorbooks titles Top Chops, Indian Larry: Chopper Shaman, One Percenter, One Percenter Code and One Percenter Revolution. Last year he wrote and directed the feature biker film Rough Boys for B.I.C. Productions. Dave is currently the editor of Born To Ride magazine and contributes to Choppers magazine. He lives in Ashland, Oregon.HENRY VON WARTENBERG is a freelance photographer from Buenos Aires, Argentina, whose work has appeared in many books and magazines, such as National Geographic Adventures.
