About the author










Dr. Shadi Ram Sharma obtained his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Meerut University on "Thermo-Physical and Electrical Properties of Rocks under Various Temperature Conditions". He did Post Graduate Diploma in Energy Technology in 1982 from Auckland University, New Zealand. He retired as Deputy Director in 2006 from CSIR, National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad, (A.P.) after 34 years of long association. NGRI is one of the leading research laboratories in India and abroad in the field of earth sciences.

Dr. Sharma has published 53 research papers in reputed national and international journals in the field of Terrestrial Heat Flow, Exploration of Geothermal Resources in India, Thermo-Physical Properties of Rocks, Meteorites and Raman & X-Ray Spectroscopic Studies on Meteorites & Minerals. He has also presented 50 research papers in the national and international symposiums/seminars/workshops. He is a life member of Indian Geophysical Union, Geological Society of India and Society of Petroleum Geophysicists, India.
