About the author
J. B. Frank is an accomplished television producer with a number of award-winning productions over the past twenty years. An Emmy Award winner for the documentary
Ruth Page, Once Upon a Dancer and a Cine Award winner for
Love Hurts, an ABC After-School Special, she has taken this creativity into yet another direction: writing children's stories. An aunt to 32 nieces and nephews, a great-aunt, and a godmother, J.B. captures the charm of her storytelling days growing up in Chicago in each of her narratives. She received an MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University. J. B. has written articles for a number of children's magazines and journals, including
AppleSeeds, Boy's Quest, and
High Adventure as well as
The Looking Glass: New Perspectives on Children's Literature, Once Upon a Time, and
Maryjae's Farm. She lives in the country with her sweetheart, chickens, ducks, honeybees, and two dogs named Marco and Mia.
