Martin Lengwiler is Professor in the Department of History at the University of Basel, Switzerland.Nigel Penn is Professor in the Department of Historical Studies at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.Patrick Harries was Professor of African History at the University of Basel, Switzerland and Emeritus Professor in the Department of Historical Studies at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He died in 2016.
