Fahlores from seven Austrian Greywacke zone (Haidbachgraben, Schendleck, Veitsch, Johnsbach, Mallnock, Mauterndorf and Schwaz) together with one sample from UK (Cornwall) and one sample from Slovakia (Kremnice) have been microscopically, chemically, spectroscopically and structurally investigated. The studied fahlores have been classified on the basis of td-content into tennantite, intermediate fahlore, tetrahedrite and Schendleck-type fahlore. The Schendleck-type fahlores contain unusual fahlores, which varying over a large range of td-content.

Prof. Sherif Kharbish (Ph.D.) is a mineralogist. He graduated the Vienna University as a student of academician Ao. Prof. Dr. Anton Beran. He studied the Raman spectra of sulfosalts and sulfides. He is a professor at the Suez University (Egypt).He wrote 70 articles, scientific publications and books.
