About the author










Barbara Paris Gifford is an associate curator at the Museum of Arts and Design (MAD) in New York City with an expertise in contemporary jewelry and adornment. She oversees MAD's esteemed jewelry collection and has served as part of the curatorial team for several exhibitions. She has written about jewelry for The Journal of Modern Craft, Metalsmith, Modern Magazine, and the American Society of Jewelry Historians and has been a key speaker for many discussions and symposiums, including Schmucksymposium Zimmerhof 2019.
