Monitoring of machining processes is quite interesting and challenging part for the measurement and manufacturing domain. Acoustic Emission characterization is considered as an effective process monitoring technique as compared to other techniques. This book provides the systematic analysis of various factors that influence the AE response of the material deformation in turning operation and its correlation with the process of surface generation. The prediction of surface roughness is analyzed by establishing neural network model with machining parameters and surface descriptors.
