About the author
Olga Merino nació en Barcelona en 1965. Estudió Ciencias de la Información y un máster de especialización en Historia y Literatura Latinoamericanas en el Reino Unido. Ha residido en Londres y Moscú, donde fue corresponsal durante cinco años para El Periódico de Catalunya, y vivió la transición del régimen soviético a la economía de mercado. En 1999 publicó su primera novela, Cenizas Rojas, con gran éxito de crítica, y en 2004 Espuelas de papel. En 2006 obtuvo el Premio Vargas Llosa NH por el cuento Las normas son las normas. Sus novelas han sido traducidas al italiano, neerlandés e inglés.
