There is a fashion show at Sapa and Martha's school! Sapa and Martha want to make something special to display at the show. Martha suggests they make an amaut, just like the one her biological mother, Paula, wore when Martha was a baby. About the author

Shavanna Ashevak was born in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. She lives in Kugaaruk, Nunavut.
Emily Jackson is a teacher and educational consultant. She spent three fantastic years teaching in Nunavut and continues to visit often. She likes reading, being outside, and finding quiet places to explore.
Charlene Chua worked as a web designer, senior graphic designer, web producer, and interactive project manager before she decided to pursue illustration as a career. Her work has appeared in American Illustration, Spectrum, and SILA’s Illustration West, as well as several art books. She illustrated the children’s picture books Julie Black Belt: The Kung Fu Chronicles and Julie Black Belt: The Belt of Fire. She lives in Hamilton, Ontario, with her husband and two cats.
