About the author

John Glenday’s first collection, The Apple Ghost won a Scottish Arts Council Book Award and his second, Undark, was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation. Grain Picador, 2009), also a Poetry Book Society Recommendation, was shortlisted for both the Ted Hughes Award and the Griffin International Poetry Prize. His fourth collection The Golden Mean, also published by Picador, was shortlisted for the Saltire Scottish Poetry Book of the Year and won the 2015 Roehampton Poetry Prize.Gaby Morgan is an Associate Publisher at Macmillan Children's Books and has run the children's poetry list for thirty years. She has compiled many bestselling anthologies including Read Me and Laugh: A Funny Poem for Every Day of the Year, Poems from the First World War, Fairy Poems – which was short-listed for the CLPE Award – and the Macmillan Collector's Library poetry series featuring anthologies on Happiness, Nature, Childhood, Travelling and Christmas.
