Six Short Sons

In this journey of independence, six sons tell their parent's they want to take care of themselves and must leave home. They declare, "We are short, but we are smart. We want to find work out in the world." The parents wait and wait for some news from their sons but nothing comes and then one day they all return. Were they able to make it out in the world or will they be returning home to stay?

About the author

Baiying SHEN has written the novel Sweep the Leaves and a collection of science fables. When he's not writing, he is a professor and editor of children's stories. He won the 7th Children's Literacy Prize in China for Six Short Sons.
