With over 100 issues released and 1,000,000 copies sold Deadworld arrived on the zombie apocalypse scene well before The Walking Dead and presents a different and unique take on the global nightmare.
The epic finale to the first volume of Deadworld as the last three issues (#24-#26) are collected along with the introduction story of The Dead-Killer in Archives Book Six. In addition, "A Christmas in Louisiana" is included from the pages of "A Caliber Christmas" special edition. In the main story, the group decides to make a stand at the fort and lure the zombies in for a slaughter so that they can make their escape across the bridge into the desolated Upper Peninsula. Book Six of the Nine volume series brings all of the original Deadworld saga into print again!
About the author
Gary Reed has written Deadworld for nearly two decades and along the way he has written and created a number of memorable comic series including Saint Germaine, Renfield, Red Dairies, and of course, his Harvey Awards nominated, Baker Street. He has had books published by Penguin, Image, IDW, Simon and Schuster, Actionoplis, and of course, Caliber Comics, a company he founded in 1988. His Deadworld series have been nominated for numerous awards including Comic Monsters, Horror Net, Shel Dorf Awards, and has won three Ghastly Awards for the "Best in Horror" annual awards in the mini-series and original graphic novel categories. When not writing, Gary was an Adjunct Professor of Biology at a college in Ann Arbor, MI until his passing in October 2016.
