He started his career as a music journalist, first in Edinburgh and later in London, before moving into PR and communications. Jonathan Trew has been writing about music, culture and restaurants since the early 1990s. A brief stint as a music reporter for MTV convinced him he was more useful as a keyboard jockey than in front of a camera. When not leading tour groups in Edinburgh and Glasgow, he can usually be found at his desk wondering when this internet thing will end. Fiona Shepherd is an established music journalist who has been attending gigs and writing about the music scene since 1990. She is the chief rock and pop critic of The Scotsman , and also writes for Scotland On Sunday , The List and Edinburgh Festivals magazine.
