Mania is one of the potentially disabling conditions, significantly affecting person's ability to function in work and social situations. This study was aimed at studying the phenomenology of mania. This was a descriptive cross sectional study conducted on 75 patients of either sex and aged 18-65 years. Attempts were also made to identify the socio-demographic and clinical factors associated with mania. Factor analysis revealed three clinically meaningful factors that support the notion that mania is multidimensional.
