Extrasensory perception or ESP, otherwise called sixth sense, includes claimed reception of information that is not gained through the recognized physical senses, but sensed with the mind. There are multiple types of extrasensory perception, like telepathy, clairvoyance, precognition, retrocognition, mediumship, and psychometry. Telepathy is the ability to perceive other people's thoughts.Telepathy derived from the Greek tele meaning "distant" and pathos or -patheia meaning "feeling, perception, passion, affliction, experience" is the purported vicarious transmission of information from one person to another without using any known human sensory channels or physical interaction. The fact is that there is no scientific proof that human telepathy exists. Telepathy is direct communication from one mind to another. This refers to the supposed ability to perceive the thoughts of others without the use of recognised senses. Scientific evidence for the psychic ability to move objects or bend spoons is elusive. For sheer impressiveness it's hard to beat psychokinesis, ability to move objects through mind power. The word is derived from the Greek words for "mind" and "motion".
