About the author










Laura Bell is Assistant Professor of Political Science at West Texas A & M University. She teaches American National Security, Comparative Politics and International Relations.

My primary area of interest is political violence, with a focus on political assassination. Current research follows two tracks. One track examines political and societal instability in the aftermath of terrorist assassinations, with an emphasis on the Middle East and Africa. The second track includes an examination of the various targets of contemporary assassinations, such as government officials, journalists and international aid workers.
