Changing Dimensions of the International

English · Paperback / Softback

Description

Challenges and complications facing the international development system are a pressing issue worldwide. The system is confronted by disrupting global developments at all levels of political and practical international cooperation. There is an all-encompassing search for effective "solution approaches" to meet these challenges successfully in the near and long term. The Berlin Conference in January 2019, organised by the Global Development Initiative (GDI) and the Doing Development Differently (DDD) community, shed light on the new dimensions and proposed detailed solutions for the effective implementation of development projects. This volume continues the discussion that took place at the conference. Decision-makers, practitioners and scientists from international organizations, national development organizations and other actors present their findings and suggestions on how the crisis should be analysed and approached - specifically, the best path for managing the implementation of development projects.
