Have you ever wondered what your ancestors were like?

Were they characters in their own right? This is what I had in mind when I decided to write down the interactions I had with my maternal grandfather and a Vermont County Forester with whom I worked. They were both unique and once you met them, chances are you would not forget them.

I have fond memories of both. Whether you were related to them, knew them as friends, knew them by reputation, or would just like to read about two real Vermonters, I hope you will be amused by my stories.

About the author

Chet Parsons was born and brought up on a small dairy farm in Northern Vermont. He and his wife milked cows until he had his mid-life crisis and went to work for UVM Extension as a livestock specialist. He is now retired, living on the farm and is a full-time sheep farmer.
