This synopsis should "set the scene," so you may understand "from where I am coming." About the author
Author was born in 1937, living most of his life in a small Texas town and having most of his education including high school. While growing up, author enjoyed very much the sport of football and played it many years. As a matter of fact, that was the main reason he wanted to attend high school and not for the academics. As such, he just barely graduated from high school, mainly because all he wanted to do was to play football. He made enough passing grades so he would be eligible to play football. However, his practice was not all in vain, because he had a good enough team in 1953 to win the Class A, Texas State Championship. Thank God, he was so dedicated to football; not that he was a great talent, but because it required a certain discipline.
