Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a type of metabolic disorder, characterized by elevated blood glucose level leading to may pathological consequences like neuropathy, nephropathy, retinopathy and increasing risk of cardiovascular diseases. High number of people affected with diabetes mellitus type 2 with not fully understood pathophysiology and poor glycemic control is the leading cause to look for a new target molecules that may provide more glycemic control and to draw the attention of the researchers to work on underlying diseases or disorders that may be related to DM2 incidence. This book is designated to provide the readers with many informations related to diabetes mellitus beside assisting the researchers to put study design involving new target molecules that may improve therapy of DM2. Chapter one shows the informations about problematic of diabetes and the rate of incidence. Chapter two provides more concise information about diabetes and related topics.
