About the author










Colin Simmonds was born in 1955 in the UK. He attended Ripon Grammar School and thereafter, Birmingham University. He was employed by Associated British Foods plc from 1990 until 2017. His favourite activities were playing rugby union and cricket. He also enjoys travelling and reading.
Colin¿s special skills include business strategy and marketing. He is an accomplished rugby coach and businessman. He drove the development and general affairs of several companies. Latterly, he has pursued a consulting career at SIMMERGY Ltd; and while there he mentored and coached many young business managers.
As a rugby coach, he worked with several teams at senior and junior levels. His rugby career comprised playing for Harrogate Rugby Club, Yorkshire and Bath rugby clubs. He is married with one son. Lighting the Candle is his first book.
