I thoroughly enjoyed reading the new College history, it is a marvellous work, providing a very astute portrait of the school that not only analyses very sharply its highs and lows and its key developments, but also in a highly entertaining and colourful fashion lays bare the character of the school and the interaction between its pupils, teachers and its physical landscape and environment. It is beautifully illustrated by an extensive collection of photographs, bringing the College's past 150 years vividly to life. School histories can make very dull reading - this is the complete antithesis.
