About the author
Simone Franke studied foundry technology at the TU Bergakademie in Freiberg, Germany. Active in practice since 1980, she has particular experience in the areas of permanent mold casting, process engineering, molding material preparation, material testing/metallography, and operational environmental consulting.
Today she works with partners as an independent engineer in the areas of plant technology and process design, as well as an author of technical publications.
