About the author

Scott Valentine is an experimentalist by nature, drawing on his background in physics, music, and theater to bring a unique perspective to sharing knowledge with other photographers and Photoshop users. For more than 20 years, Scott has supported the greater imaging community through hosting user groups, teaching at conferences, and writing. He has been an invited speaker at the Art Directors Invitational Master Class (ADIM), Adobe MAX, and Photoshop World. Scott also writes Photoshop Proving Ground, a monthly column featured in KelbyOne's Photoshop User magazine. He is always up for helping fellow creative professionals and hobbyists. Scott's previous two books have become must-have resources for colleges and instructional programs, valued for their combination of technical and creative elements, an approachable style, and straightforward language. Aside from pushing pixels, Scott enjoys playing guitar, ice hockey, backpacking, and spending time with his family.
