Learning a new language might be challenging for monolingual people, but what about bilinguals who wants to learn a new language? Might it be easier or more complex? And what about if the first language is an indigenous one? Will it make any difference? How would it be to learn a new language while addressing a social problem? Indigenous students from the Embera Chamí community in Florencia Caquetá explored two different approaches for learning English while targeting a social phenomenon that affects the whole community. The challenges they went through, their fears and their experience are recording in this book.
