He has published more than 50 books including full-length monographs on Ken Kiff, Roger Hilton, RB Kitaj, Allen Jones, Maggi Hambling, John Hoyland, David Inshaw, Francis Davison and William Gear. He has curated exhibitions of work by Eileen Agar, Peter Blake, Maggi Hambling, Roger Hilton, Cedric Morris and Ivon Hitchens for various museums and public galleries in the UK.
