About the author

Andrea Rossi, M.D., is the head of the Pediatric Neuroradiology Department at the G. Gaslini Institute in Genoa, the largest pediatric hospital in Italy, and a Contract Professor of Neuroradiology at the University of Genoa, Italy. Dr Rossi’s expertise is in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of pediatric central nervous system disorders. His main research focus is in spinal cord malformations, metabolic diseases, and the application of advanced MRI techniques to brain diseases, including neuro-oncology. He has received several awards and honors in his career, and serves on the Editorial Boards of Neuroradiology and Pediatric Radiology.He has published 179 scientific manuscripts and has a current h-index of 20. He was a co-editor of the first edition of Pediatric Neuroradiology, published by Springer in 2005.
