He is a graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. His writing has been featured at The Gospel Coalition, Christianity Today, and many more. He is married to Dorie and they have two sons. They live outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
