Los contenidos de este volumen cubren diferentes áreas de investigación, entre las cuales se observan las líneas propuestas en el titulo, a saber, el modelo y los valores europeos en un mundo global. Una mayoría de artículos se articulan en torno a las políticas internas de la UE; la propia génesis de los valores Europeos; el papel de las becas Erasmus en la internacionalización de la educación superior; la participación juvenil en el Derecho de la UE; los derechos religiosos en la UE; la preservación de las fronteras exteriores; la política de memoria histórica de la UE; la proyección exterior; o el concepto de Europa desde una visión crítica periférica.
This book includes the contributions to the Doctoral Seminar on Peace and European Values as a potential model for integration and progress in a global world held at the Royal Monastery of Yuste, Headquarters of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, in Cuacos de Yuste, Spain from 24th to 26th July 2017. The contents of this volume cover different areas of research, among which we find the lines proposed in its title, namely the European model and values in a global world. Most are articulated around the EU's internal policies like the genesis of European values; the role of the Erasmus scholarships in the internationalization of higher education; the youth participation in EU Law; religious rights in the EU; the safeguarding of the external borders; the EU's policies of historical memory; the EU's external projection the narrative of what Europe is about from a critical peripheral view.

About the author










Prof. Dr. Jesús Baigorri Jalón is Former Associate Professor (now emeritus) at the Department of Translation and Interpretation of the University of Salamanca (until 2013). Founding member of the Alfaqueque Research Group.
Prof. Dr. Jürgen Elvert has been Jean Monnet Professor for European History and Professor of Modern History and History of European Integration at the University of Cologne since 2001.
