Dolores Soldevilla Nieto was a passionate Cuban artist whose career blossomed in the 1950s. Following early professional turns, she emerged later in life as a prolific artist and fervent advocate for culture. LOLÓ SOLDEVILLA (1901-1971) started her artistic career rather late. LOLÓ SOLDEVILLA, eigentlich Dolores Soldevilla Nieto (1901–1971), begann erst spät ihre künstlerische Karriere. Zunächst als Lehrerin tätig, studierte sie 1949 an der Pariser Académie de la Grande Chaumière bei den Bildhauern Leopold Kretz und Ossip Zadkine und lernte dort die konkrete Kunst kennen.
