With technology, music has never been more constant. It is heard on phones and in waiting rooms, in coffee shops and on television. Despite such exposure, the number of people able to make music for themselves is dwindling. Classical Christian schools have a unique motivation to remedy this. About the author
Jarrod Richey is the Music Program Director and Director of Choral Activities at Geneva Academy in West Monroe, Louisiana where he has been teaching general music and choir since 2008. He holds a Masters of Music Degree from the University of Louisiana Monroe. Additionally, he received his Kodály music teacher certification from Wichita State University. He is the author of Bach to the Future: Fostering Music Literacy Today.
