Extended surface are widely used in variety of heat transfer applications owning to its ability to reduce the convection resistance by exposing large surface area to the surrounding fluid. Surface modification in the form of perforation is a passive method of increasing the heat transfer rates at the solid fluid interface. Application of perforations on extended surface not only increases its heat transfer ability but also reduces its weight. This book contains standard computational techniques fluid flow and heat transfer in agreement with the RNG based k- turbulence model to obtain the solution for heat transfer and friction under the specified thermal and flow conditions.
