Many Researches identified self-Rated Health as one of the psychological markers of healthy aging. Self-Rated Health has been employed in a wide variety of contexts with older population. Self Rated Health has been used to refer to the responses made by Individuals when asked about their state of health, which integrates information on mental, biological, functional and spiritual dimensions of their health. Positive Self Rated Health is considered as a good indicator of longevity and functional competence in older adults. About the author










Dr.V. Subramanyam obtained Ph.D in 2010 from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, India. He has to his credit many publications in National/International Journals, and shared his researches in many National/ International Conferences/Seminars. At present he is working as a Research Associate in ICSSR (India)¿ESRC (UK) Collaborative Project.
