Report
From customer reviews of the previous edition:
'This is the O&G textbook to get! It is divided into three sections: a concise description of the basic science, then separate sections on obstetrics and gynaecology. The level of detail is spot on. The pages are colourful and friendly with clinical scenarios, essential points, pictures and tables throughout. The text is broken up by lots of headings for ease of reading and each chapter ends with a brief summary of the essential points - perfect for revision. Information is easy to find via the index and all the main subjects are covered. Marvellous.'
'I think this book is excellent for earlier years going into medicine. It is very well laid out, including both basic fundamentals as well as covering the common conditions which are encountered. In the later years, or as a guide for exams, this book comes in very helpful in terms of a good revision tool. The chapters are organised very well, with very useful structuring of each topic into an easily readable resource for the medical student. It is also structured very logically by splitting sections relating to obstetrics, gynaecology and reproductive sciences in order to make it easier to understand and run through... I have a favourite aspect of the book, the use of 'Essential Information' at the end of each section in order to make sure that students are aware of the key points and information.'
Published reviews
'A very attractive text for undergraduates in medicine, midwives and SHOs in obstetrics and gynaecology preparing for the DRCOG. The text is comprehensive but clear and concise...the graphics are outstanding. This is definitely a textbook to inspire students...and is aesthetically a very pleasing book to handle and read.'
