About the author

Mohammad El-Darouti is a Professor of Dermatology & Dermatopathology in the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, Egypt. His academic qualifications comprise of MBBCh with honors, Master with honors, MD/PhD in Dermatology & Venereology from Cairo University, and Fellowship of Dermatopathology from NY, USA. He described several disease entities in the field of dermatology in addition to innovative therapeutic methods in treating complex dermatologic diseases. He was the first one to describe the distinctive disorder of "Necrolytic Acral Erythema" which was linked to infection with hepatitis C virus.

Fiaza Al-Ali is a Board-certified Dermatologist & Dermatopathologist.  Works as a consultant dermatologist in Dubai Health Authority, UAE. Her academic qualifications include MBBS from King Saud University in Riyadh, KSA, Arab Board in Dermatology & Venereology, and the European Board of Dermatopathology (ICDP-UEMS) from Frankfurt, Germany. She received her Dermatopathology training at the University of Graz, Austria.  She is the Founder and President of Dubai International Academy of Dermatopathology & Dubai International Academy of Laser & Aesthetic Dermatology (DIAD-DIAL).
