"Halt!" The soldier barked. All seven of them drew their swords and held them at the ready. "Name yourself, stranger!"

"Stranger?" Xitou asked, straightening up and approaching them. "Are you so sure?"

The soldiers no longer looked brave. As they examined Xitou and accessed his return question, their faces fell to shock.

"You," whispered the one that had shouted. "You would come willingly to a group sent to bring you to the king?"

"I can't be brought to myself, thanks," said Xitou, resting his hand on the hilt of his sword.

"You are not the true king," spat one of the soldiers.

"No? Then why haven't you attacked me yet?" Xitou tilted his head. "Curious. Are you afraid of me?"

"We know you don't travel alone."

"Ah, many rumors have traveled." Xitou was grinning. "It would be wise to heed them, yes."
